Alright so I got a Cooler Master Notepal Infinite, a notebook cooling pad for my Dell Studio 1555. The temperatures of CPU, GPU and HDD without the cooler ain't very high in my Studio but coz I am very much used to work on my lappy on bed, I thought that getting a cooling pad that gives some tilt and a base for the air to pass through vents would be a good idea. IMO, this is very nicely built, looks good, works good and the best part - it does its job quite well. It doesn't require any external power for its fan, instead it simply plugs into a USB of your laptop consuming a small portion of your battery power. Now, out of 3 USB's you'll feel that one USB is permanently occupied by this but FYI even this cooler has a USB port of its own which means you still have 3 USB ports for your Studio. The fan has 3 speeds. Noise quite un-noticeable even on highest. The thin metal surface on which the laptop rests provides enough coolness to it, even without turning on the fan. In and all, its a perfect base for your laptop. I bought it off eBay for 40USD.

This looks cool. Though I find 40$ a bit expensive. |
