At the moment laptops are the only option for me. Desktops are too big and just take up too much space. i also hate being tied to my desk, with my laptops I can move around freely!  |

Assembled i say ... The main problem with branded is that they are not well balanced. Especially so for lower priced pcs, they give you 2.5 ghz + P4 processors which you dont need, and just 128 MB RAM. Installing more yourself may void your warranty, which defeats the purpose of a branded PC.. hope u too also prefer it.. thanks..

i always will go with laptop because it is easy to carry and charging and we have a lot of brands to buy like toshiba, hp and dell.

I'd say most technical guys prefer an assembled one as their demands/requirements are different than what one branded PC give to us.

I personally prefer assembled PC's over branded as we can get a fully customized one if we go for assembled option. Plus they cost us bit less than branded. Also, different manufacturers have their own specialised peripherals so that we can choose from.

I use branded pc of "Wipro" but i personally think that the assemble pc is better because the other parts like headphone and everything of a branded pc is really very expensive.
