Well.. only the developers of Ultrasurf i.e. Ultrareach Internet Corp. knows best what technology is powering it.

The only information I could find is as quoted:-

It enables users inside countries with heavy Internet censorship to visit any public web sites in the world safely and freely. it enables users to browse any website freely just the same as using the regular IE browser while it automatically searches the highest speed proxy servers in the background.

i guess it uses some fibre optic cables which work off of light (photons). so i guess speeds are faster and more bandwith perhaps.

I just seen the ultrasurf website and it looks like a useful software to me. It also provides privacy of hiding IP addresses. Thanks for sharing.

The technology as it seems to me is simple as it allows you to hide your real ip address. It seems to me that it actually switch the ip address automatically and randomly.

Ultrasurf is an unbelievable little app, that is able to render almost any web security application pretty much completely useless. You can add a proxy server to the configuration if you are in a corporate or educational setting and want to render their security controls utterly useless.
