For instance there are about 100 ways to optimize the dynamic range of a picture. Some of those ways while correct will take up vast amounts of time.
To cut through the Hype I found the Photoshop Bible to be one of the most helpful tools I have come across.

Go back to your layer palette. Each layer that is turned on will show in the order that they are in the layer palette.

I know how to animage in photoshop elements 7.0. But haven't figured out how to tell it which layers to show for each frame when animating, like you could do in photoshop imageready.
