Just wondering if anyone could suggest a good program to get started with. I think Photoshop maybe to much for me at the moment! And too expensive to just mess around with. What about Paint Shop Pro? |

Paint Shop Pro, Photo Impact or you can start with GIMP which is free.

| I first started with Paint.NET, but I have heard good stories about GIMP. Personally, I never found GIMP to be the best app for image manipulation, but I've seen some amazing pieces of art come out of it. Download and trial, I guess it is. But the best is Photoshop. |

| Despite what you may have heard, you really don't have to spend $560 on Photoshop CS2 to get a good image editor. While PhotoShop CS2 may be the Rolls-Royce of image editors, many of us would be quite happy with a less expensive, but still pretty good, BMW version! Corel recently released a new version of Paint Shop Pro, Paint Shop Pro X, priced (after current rebates) at $66, Though it's very much based on Paint Shop Pro version 9 , there are some changes in Paint Shop Pro X. The user interface has been revised, though it's still quite recognizable as Paint Shop Pro and, after a little practice, users of v9 should have no trouble navigating via the new menus. |

You may want to try to visit the manufacturer of the driver's website to download the driver. |

Computer graphics fall into two distinct categories: raster graphics and vector graphics. Many graphics programs focus exclusively on either vector or raster graphics, but there are some interesting ways to combine them.
