Well, I didn't quite see eye to eye with you on a few of your other threads, but we're definitely on the same page here. If I had to pick to only get to use/play/have one of them, I'd likely go for the PSP as well. I have a DS, but I played it much less (the graphics just really sicken me out sometimes), and I'm not as easily impressed with superficialities like "omg wow its a new control device". The novelty wears off, and what you're left with asking is "which has better games, and which makes games look better?" For me the answer is an obvious PSP. I'm also sorry to any DS (or in particular: Nintendo) fanboys. |

I agree with SikoSoft, if you're looking for impressive game-play, you can't go past the PSP. Considering that it is a portable entertainment device, capable of playing movies and music, displaying images, browsing the internet and running games, I really think it has the upper hand here. If you're looking at it from a shady point of view, you need to pay $30 for an R4 before you can get any proper enjoyment out of the DS, or to unlock any other features it should have been released with, yet it's a free hack for the PSP to unleash it's capabilities. I personally think that Nintendo could have done better with the DS, don't you agree? Wouldn't you agree that if you could connect to Wifis and browse the net with it, you would be more inclined to use the device? What about if it had expandable memory, and you could watch videos and play music, that would tempt you as well, would it not? I can see the DS as a mini-laptop, capable of standard entertainment processes, but the software limits it just that little bit too much. Oh well, nothing Linux can't fix, I guess... |
