Whenever you're starting out, most visitors if your lucky will come to your site and you're happy! But one thing you need to watch is a major quality control factor and that is your bounce rate. Its the amount of visitors who come and immediately leave taking no other action on your site.
Some things that can decrease your bounce rate, and google indeed uses the bounce rate as a ranking factor (even if its just a small factor) are:
- Not having to many out going links
- Have a subtle warm welcoming design
- Present information in a readable format.
