I have not yet owned an SMF forum, but I have thought about it. I have been member on many but yet to admin, what is the Control Pannel like? I want to know your thoughts on this forum software and weather or not I should get it.

well.. I personally did not liked it. I believe vBulletin and IPB are simply the best with a WIDE range of features unlike any other forum software out there AND if you're running either of the two then you cannot think of any other

i never had ipb and dont think i will need to now.i used smf for over a year and it wasnt bad,but compared to vb i didnt see anything that compares.smf seems to always update for one bug or another and there really isnt enough good mods.id see some great sites on vb and say id love to have a mod like that but couldnt find for smf.smf is free and maybe in the future they will get better but i feel and this is just my opinion here vb is well ahead of the game.
