The kit is originally arriving from Singapore. For me, it took exactly 8 days from shipping date. For you, its already been 12 days so I guess its on its way. Expect it to reach anytime now.

The only reason I see that the games are not running in full resolution is due to the setting within the game. I assume you have the latest drivers installed from Dell. Just check the in-game settings. It also happened to me when I upgraded from Vista x64 to Win 7 x64. All the game resolutions settings itself went down to 1024 width. Then I had to manually up them.

btw.. if you're PC is supported, you should use 64-bit Windows 7. Which one did you order?

Counterstrike is old, it may not have support for high res, but what about FIFA 09? When you check the in-game resolution setting, what resolution is selected?

See I told ya its got to be some problem within the games. But thats strange if you're not seeing a higher resolution even after installing fresh.

Check within the game settings whether you have selected "Run in full screen". Also confirm the aspect ratio you have set. It should be 16:9.

Also confirm from Dell's Drivers site if you're running the latest version of your drivers? You should be having 8.631.0.0000, A01 of your video driver. Check in device manager. The chipset driver should be latest too.

No, that cannot be a problem.

I have given all possible solutions. It has to be something among them. Or else your best bet would be to wait for your upgrade kit of Win 7 x64. A clean install would be preferred in your case.

Congrats for the kit.

What happens when you play a movie? Are you able to view a movie in full screen?

Graphic card doesn't support DX11 in win7, so what? It shouldn't matter at all. FYI, as on TODAY - there are just 3 graphic cards in the world that fully support DirectX11.

Your games should run fine. There's got to be some setting which is interfering. Right click on your desktop, and fiddle with the ATI settings.

Also Test Direct3D in dxdiag. Is it displaying in full screen?

And btw, did you perform an upgrade to win7 or clean install? Try a clean install if you didn't if problem isn't solved.

Windows XP mode is built-in Windows 7 Pro/Enterprise/Ultimate, but not in Home Premium.

btw what software are you not able to run in Windows 7? Better check the program manufacturer's website for updated version. I never faced this problem.

Also try running the program in Compatiblity mode.
