I'm eagerly waiting for Windows 7, whose Customer Preview Edition is out.

If anyone interested can download Betas from here (DDL's and working atm):-

32 bit- http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...FRE_EN_DVD.iso

64 bit- http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...FRE_EN_DVD.ISO

Here's the official page, which is down atm.

To obtain a valid key, I think you need to be a TechNet Plus subscriber. Though they aren't hard to get lol

They're giving away 2.5 million product keys!

You could also use the software for up to 30 days without a key. But does anyone know if once that 30 days is up how hard it will be to remove and switch back to your original operating system

Why hard? Normal procedure, format PC if you want to remove, that is why its mentioned at many places to install on a test PC and is the only recommended way to install it, as its 1st

Or you can set up a separate partition for it with atleast 20GB of space.

i would suggest not to download these beta testing OS. i tried that once when vista was going to release. while installing, it asks you to remove Norton Antivirus and heaps of other softwares before you can continue with installation. so i conclude, we are not the people who test these products. there are people out there who test these things.

As stated earlier, that is why it is *recommended* to install on an extra computer. Its mentioned at so many places at MS site before you even start downloading beta.

we are not the people who test these products.
