Icon6 Windows 7 GA today.
Man I had been waiting for this day since 26th June, seriously LOL! Thats when I purchased a Dell Studio 15 with free Windows 7 upgrade.

Windows 7 is generally available in retail stores from today. Dell Win7 upgrade site is showing the option to order the upgrade kit.

Charged 0$, no tax, shipping/handling or anything.
Can't wait to upgrade my Studio to Win 7.

webwizzy just got lucky that he bought a new PC on the day this free upgrade offer started. btw does this mean that you can now use genuine Vista on one PC at the same time with Windows 7 on another PC?

Windows 7 has already become a success at such initial stage. Its just because of MS spending heavily on its promotion. Its nothing but a marketing strategy.

TBH, I feel somewhat the same. They have done *enough* to promote their product. At the same time, I feel there's nothing wrong in doing so. Its their flagship product, marketing has to be done to boost sales. Its a simple business strategy. By the way, I even read somewhere that it has broken all records at Amazon (or ebay) of the most pre-ordered software till date.
