The results may vary as they choose the nearest server for search. For example, when I make a search on google, it queries google.co.in (India) and not google.com.

Google results always vary according to the Geographic location because Google has many data centers about 35 and they are answering the queries from there so if you search from the Japan then Google fetch the data from the nearest data center but if check into the Google Global or Uk for the similar results then results varies. One more thing Google also use the browsing history from the browser cache and show the websites on the top which you surf from your IP. They also use the IP tracking but results not vary from the IP but if you are using some software which are sending automatic queries like SEO Quake then then results can be affected by the IP also.
