A little information about PHP would be helpful. It is a very popular server side programming language that can be embedded into HTML. Its popularity has been aided by the following features: *It is free. *Easy to learn and use. *It is a fully object oriented language. *It is platform independent. *Its speed on the Linux server makes it very effective in building complex, and large web applications. *It allows advanced programming and is very easy to integrate with web pages. *PHP also integrates very nicely with MYSQL.  |

Most Windows servers support PHP, although Linux is said to be more robust for PHP execution. So not sure what you mean by "PHP Web Host".

One of the best benefits of PHP is the fact that PHP is supported on Linux as well as Windows platform unlike ASP or ASP.net which is supported on Windows only. Though, it is always recommended that you choose Linux for PHP, however, you won't face any problem even if you choose Windows hosting platform for sites developed in PHP

If you are looking for a good PHP host, as the server it’s better to select a Linux based operating system. It’s more flexible.

I like HostGator for the web hosting, but prefer to keep my domain name registrar separate... … On the other hand, if you'd like a test site to tinker with, I found a good free one that has almost everything on your list (no SSL, 250MB disk space, but 100GB of bandwidth)... and we're talking REALLY free here, as in no MONEY, and no ADS either... |

I have a number of websites and would never host with a company that doesn't offer phone support. I couldn't imagine waiting hours or days for an answer to an email.  |
