Though I have never had experiences with any big hosting company, but have heard more positive about Hostgator than Godaddy.

Definitely Hostgator has an edge over Godaddy in webhosting. As domain registrar Godaddy performs well though.

I now have experience with Godaddy. In simple words, I would never recommend Godaddy for hosting, its good for domains though.

Out of the two, I'll choose Hostgator for webhosting. As webwizzy said, Godaddy is good just for domains.

I have used Hostgator and they are good service. 24/7 customer service and the equipment is nice, they get my recommendation. Jon |

| Dude, you hit the nail on the head for me. That's exactly what I would have said. I tend to have really jaded and unpleasant ideas about godaddy hosting, because I worked as a support technician for a couple years (@ phpfox), and godaddy servers definitely had 10 times more problems than any other hosting providers. Oh, and godaddy servers seem muuuuuuuuch slower than other servers, and for some reason always run Apache as CGI/FastCGI (instead of as an API, which I think is better). I know very little of hostgator.. I talked to someone not too long ago who seemed content with them, but that's the most I can say on them. |

I've used GoDaddy for several of my webpages, and have worked for a small business where we managed multiple pages with GoDaddy.

My clients have sites hosted by both GoDaddy and Hostmonster, and I'm especially impressed with Hostmonster over any other.

Offeres hosting and domain registration for a low rate, roughly $60 a year. I would check them out, unlimited space for you website unlimited bandwidth so you can get plenty of users. |
