ya it does sounds interesting MU but I do not think it is left much relevant now as soo many people have engaged into reseller hosting, they could hardly make money from it, ofcourse except a few ones. As it has become cheaper, many people are going for that which isn't much fruitful, what do you say ?

I used to resell hosting, and I found to be honest that it was a lot more hassle and work than what It actually brought me in. I mean the profits were low but the work was long and hard. I was forever answering support tickets and dealing with problems and I just was not earning enough from it to make it worth while.

Now we have companies like host gator and godaddy, its just not worth the hassle unless you can offer it so cheap that you get tons and tons of customers. I mean at the moment for about $6 per month I have found that you can get unlimited domains and unlimted space and bandwidth, and well I just cant compete with that and im sure most cant. Now I just use my server for my own personal sites as its faster than going with a shared hosting company.

Oh so you had your own server aye? Yes that would be a hassle answering tickets for support, when you're reselling you don't need to do that, the host does it for you. What was your server specs?

HI,

The typical web hosting reseller might be a web design firm, web developer or systems integrator who offers web hosting as an add-on service. Reseller hosting is also an inexpensive way for web hosting entrepreneurs to start a company. Most reseller hosting plans allow resellers to create their own service plans and choose their own pricing structure. In many cases, resellers are able to establish their own branding via customized control panels and name servers.
