My personal favorite is NetwayWeb, its a small but rapidly growing web hosting company in India, has servers in both US and India. I have my sites hosted in their servers only, and I'm 100% satisfied till date with their services and customer support. *fingers crossed* :wink:

I just had a look at NetawayWeb looks very good but the whole Rupee pricing got me very confused. If they have servers in US do they also price in US$ too?

As far as I know, currently there pricing is only in INR and they provide hosting service to only Indian residents. Its upto the customer whether they'd like US or Indian servers.

As I told, its a small but rapidly growing company, but they do have plans to spread up wide and start selling hosting to non Indian residents as well. (And this would be happening by the end of this year)

but dedicated server is very costly....................

oh yes sunder, it is expensive.

But you see when your site is generating enough traffic, your server requirements increases. Your site start generating enough revenue (from ads ofcourse) with which you can cover up your hosting costs and can even make profit

Though there's no doubt that you'll only switch to dedicated if you can afford it.

Blue host gets my vote for shared hosting currently. They don't seem to play the "unlimted game" or over selling game.

Hostgator gets a close second place vote. My time there was amazing for shared hosting

I have web sites hosted with fpweb ,hostexcellence.Both are working fine for me..and yes also experienced some downtimes like every hosts.
