There is a lot of reseller nowadays. But main registrar is still APNIC & INTERNIC. They also provide core admin and daily maintenance. Reseller will always be reseller. Just beware of 'hit and run' type of reseller.

No, you are complete safe in case resellerclub.com
They are ICANN accredited , and you can move your domain name instantly from one reseller to another reseller of resellerclub.com

If your reseller ran out.. don't worry about your domain name...just push the domain name to another registrar under reseller club. And there are thousands of domain resellers under resellerclub.

Look at their profile:
# Current Resellers: 53,773
# Countries served: 236
# Current Domains served through Resellers: 2,000,000+

I like using Network Solutions. They are more expensive but I don't need to contact anyone to change my DNS attributes.

I've been using Godaddy for so long I can't remember.. well, what I do remember is that I was using godaddy before they went all lame with all their stupid racing chick ads and whatnot. Oh, and back in the day when we were fortunate enough not to know anything of that overly annoying, flag-waving man, Bob Parsons - you know, the "im 50ish, but I like to pose with my cool earring that shows how hip I am".

*ahem*
